I have two cats, one of them loves this thing and the other only has interest when I put new catnip in. They are both indoor/outdoor cats so the fact that they go outside and have other things to scratch their faces on could contribute to the frequency of use. One of my cats will use it for 5-10 minutes after I put new catnip in and will keep coming back for more. When I notice he is barely using it, I replace the catnip.
I put mine on the doorframe between my bathroom and room and can still shut the door all the way. The adhesion was standard but we moved it so I just used command strips and its holding very well so far.
I think this product is perfect for indoor cats who may get bored.

My cat loves to be brushed and particularly to have her chin and cheeks brushed, and she drools over cat nip. When I set this product up and went to stick it on the corner in our bathroom, I could barely get it installed because she loved it so much.

This product is amazing! My kitties love it, and it has cut down on inappropriate scratching on furniture, because it gives them a place to release their pheromones! The company that sells it has exceptional customer service. I will be buying additional scratchers!!!! Would recommend!!!!

Screws that come with it are tiny, so use the adhesive strips as well. The catnip is difficult to steer into the holes when pouring. Luckily, we had a small funnel from some essential oils packet we purchased before. One could eaaily use a make-shift funnel out of a piece of paper... curl, then tape it. Viola. Most importantly, these two cats love it... I mean, LOVE it.

My cat seems to like this, but he only uses it to scratch his face so I may need a second one to put below it. I don't recommend putting the whole packet of catnip in it at once, he head-butted it right off the wall.

Saw a photo of this online and immediately ordered it. Placed at the kitchen entrance where my cat typically stands and gums the wall while staring at me. He loves it. Now he stares at me while scrubbing his face on this self-groomer. Very nice product. Would recommend.

I saw an add for this I line and was curious to see if it really worked as well as they made it seem, well this is my little one literally seconds after setting it up. She played for hours and absolutely loves it.
